			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The hit show &#8220;Happy Days&#8221; aired from 1974-1984.   One of the most memorable moments in the series came when the character Fonzie jumped over hungry sharks on water skis.  It was from that scene that the term &#8220;jump the shark&#8221; originated.   The term is used to describe television shows that have reached their peak.  As the popularity of the phrase has increased, it is also applied to music, movies and books.  Once a show has &#8220;jumped the shark&#8221;, its best days are behind, and it will never be the same. </p>
